New to the Boards!

  • Hi All
My name is Kat, and I'm new to these boards, but not to "dieting"! (I never think of it as a diet... because that turns it into a 4-letter word for me)

I am currently on a "weight watchers" plan-- I did WW about 4 years ago, and lost 35 pounds, maintained within 15 pounds for about 3 years, then...
March-December 2007 I gained about 25 pounds, and got to my highest weight.

I realize that 185 isn't that bad, but I teach Irish Dance-- and for any of you who have tried Irish, or have watched Riverdance, 25-50 pounds extra on your joints when you're dancing like that HURTS!!!! So It's time to make a change: I don't want to retire at 25 because of joint issues...!!!

The reason I said "weight watchers" is because I really hate the new system that they have: I ate way too much, or way too little... I'm not really sure. But I only gained when I joined the new system!!! So I'm hoofing it on my own using the old system (and not paying those weekly fees that break a 20-something's bank account..!!!)

So I started this newest journey on 12/31/07-- And as of 1/21/08 I have lost 8 pounds!

I look forward to meeting everyone!!
    ~Kat
