First OA meeting today
 

Hi,
I'm Terence, a 60 year-old guy from Austin, Texas. My weight has fluctuated over the years but the main thing is that I am unhappy and feel sick often with what I eat.

I went to my first OA meeting today and was very elated at what I heard and saw.

I tried pasting a ticker but got a message saying I had to post 25 times before I could post an image, I think. Anyway, I'm at 185 and would like to end up at 140.

Did you read about my experience with the ticker. Is it the case that I can't put one in my sig line until I've made 25 posts?

Terence - yes, due to spammers (Bad Spammers!), we've had to prevent new members from putting links in their signatures...because many new members would come in, put a link in their signature, and spread it all over the site, making lots of clean-up trouble for mods.

This way, people who stick around will be able to post a ticker shortly, but those who are here just to spam us can't get their links in right away, which is usually enough to discourage them.
