Newbie here!!!
 

Hey everyone!! I'm Frances, and I'm a 22 year old Navy wife. I'm currently stationed in Washington State with my hubby, Alfonso, of 3 years. (We're up for orders soon, so we'll be moving :carrot:)

I've always been a big girl, but my weight has never been an issue until now. After we moved here in 2005, depression kicked in big time. I think it was the combo of being a newlywed, learning the navy life, and moving away from home for the first time ever that really started to effect me. I'm a emtional eater, so I'm always turning to food. I thought I had a handle on things until I lost my mom until May 2006. Then my hubby deployed shortly afterward. Thats when everything got really out of control. Depression is still effecting me, so thats something I'm also struggling with.

I'm really glad I found this site, because I need some major motivation & more supprt on losing weight.

Anyways..thats my life story..lol. I'm looking forward to meeting new people!!!

Feel free to join us in the 20's forum. I know there are also several military wives that check in daily there.

This is a great place to find lots of support and motiation.

Have you visited our "Depression and Weight Issues" forum? Struggling with depression can bring unique issues to the weight loss battle...having a place to talk with others about them can be really helpful! So you might want to check it out. You also might want to look at the "20 somethings" forum...both would be great places to start.

Otherwise, hop in and keep posting. I can't wait to hear more from you soon!
