another newbie...
but not new to this vicious diet cycle.
I'm a SAHM to 3 wonderful boys. I am breastfeeding the youngest. I've always been the "big sister" of the family. If you call 5'2" 130lbs big. I started gaining weight 11 years ago when I said "I do" to my dh. Since then, it's been up and down. I'm 35 and find it hard to lose weight now. I've somersized (suzanne somers woe) and used to lose weight rather quickly but fail to maintain. I want this year to be the year I stop binge eating at 11pm when family is asleep. Hope everyone meets their goals!! |
Hi Mommato3boys, and :wel3fc:
We have a pregnancy/nursing area in our "Dieting with Obstacles" section - you may want to check it out! The key to learning to maintain is accepting that you have to plan just as much for MAINTENANCE as for losses. The easiest way I know of is to stop thinking of what you are doing as a "diet". Eventually, you go OFF a diet. A LIFESTYLE CHANGE, though...well, you can improve it, but you can't just fail at it or fall off of it. Can't wait to see you around and get to know you better! |
