This time there's no excuses!
Hello everyone. I'm a workaholic and all my time and energy has been either spent on my family or in my jobs, but this time it's going to be different. This time it's for me, it's my turn! I don't know if that sounds harsh, but I don't want to look like this any more. I started on this last diet in May but was having little success, then I joined WW the end of Oct and I think this is the program for me. My worst down fall is I really like food, and I love to cook. So on all my other diets I felt like I was punishing myself in order to lose weight, so I have to figure out how to like this more than food. I'm also hoping that the friendships I find here will help with that part. Any ideas will be welcome.

Hey there OB RN, I'm an OR RN!! I'm on the same boat you are... I'm tired of looking the way I do, and of having to suck it in hard to zip up my pants! Like you, I LOVE to cook, I love preparing yummy meals for my husband and I. However, I gotta cut back on the portions. I have tried WW years ago, and decided it wasn't the program for me, and a few days ago, I had a consultation at Metabolic Research Center. On monday, I will be signing up with them. I have found the forums on this website to be awesome, and I feel that the support that can be found here will make a real difference with weight loss. Here's to 2008!

What is it about nurses? We health-teach all day long and let ourselves get to be like ... well, you know ;)
Here's the WW forum http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=18 but make yourself at home all over 3FC. |
SusanB,
Thank you for the WW forum I've been on there for over an hour, great place. And you're right, as nurses we have a tendency to take care of everyone else but not ourselves. This time it is for US!!!!!!!!!! |
