hi, I'm new
 
Well, i've been trolling this forum for a bit now, decided to join, now that it's bout to be New Years and me starting on yet another attempt to get back to my old body.
I used to be a dancer(not the exotic type), and had that beautiful dancer body. I was strong and confident. But somehow or another, i got lazy and gained a LOT of weight.
Recently my best friend got engaged, and I've been asked to be maid of honor, so you can be darn sure I'm not walking my size 18 butt down that aisle, lol. Also, I'd like to be lean and confident like I remember being.
Anyways, that's me. I hope to lose about 80 lbs, and quite a few sizes. Joining the Ymca on January 1st, and throwing out all the crap junk food in my house the same day.
I hope to look to this forum as inspiration and a place to plot my goals and successes.

Welcome! I've been lurking for a while and decided to take the plunge. Cool that you're a dancer - it's my goal to get into belly dancing soon!

I've seen your name on a few post I've come across. Did you join the Jan. club? Well we are both new and kind of in the same weight boat. I want to lose about 95 pounds myself. It sounds like alot, I know. I've tried many times but am determined to make it work this time. Let's support each other and I know we can do it. As I sit here typing, my body aches from my first two workouts and I gained a pound. Yikes!! Got to keep my head on straight and work towards the goal. Good Luck!!!
