Another New Start

  • 2007 has been a really tough year, so I'm really hoping 2008 is better In January my physically abusive husband came to visit (I had already left him but we have a child together and he lives in Alaska) Not a great way to start the year off, let's just say that food became my very best friend after I ended up leaving town with my family to save my life. After that he stopped paying child support and I had to get two jobs, that doesn't leave much time or energy for healthy eating or exercise and I managed to pack on a good 40 pounds this year. I went from a size 10-12 last winter to a solid 16 now. I can't continue on this path and know it's up to me to change my ways. I was also diagnosed with Lupus and fibromyalgia this year. I am tired of being tired and looking this way so I'm really hoping to find the inspiration here that I need to get motivated.

    Thanks for listening,
    Carrie

Stick with 3FC -- you'll find a lot of support here, and I imagine more than a few women who can relate to some of the difficulties -- medical and emotional and financial -- you had last year.
  • Oh Carrie, that was a nasty year!

  • Thanks guys, I really appreciate the support (already)!! I'm gonna do it! I started out 2006 heavy as well and managed to lose 45 pounds by the end of summer so I know if I put my mind to it I can do it. I am tired of people asking me how far along I am!!!! I am not pregnant!!! My dad had a huge weight loss in 2007, he lost 185 pounds without surgery so I have inspiration right there. I need to follow his diet!
