New to the site--so glad I found it!
This seems right up my alley--started a log, a ticker, and ready to start on this journey to healthier living and eating! I'm 33, have a masters degree is social work, stay home full time now with my 2 toddlers, and love being a homemaker! I also love to use !, but I am usually a very upbeat person (which is why I'm having a hard time losing weight--"so I ate a dozen cookies, it's okay, I'll do better tomorrow--don't worry about it!"--type of thing!). I'm going to head over to the 30 somethings support--I'm looking for a buddy to keep me on track with these pesky 25 or so pounds! Glad to be a fat chick member (I think, anyway, I haven't had any contact with anyone :))

Hey Murandmom - :welcome:
I'm so glad you found the site! A positive attitude is ALWAYS a good thing - makes it easier to stick to your plan. You just need to translate it into making GOOD choices, not excusing bad ones...for instance, the next time you make yourself a healthy meal or get some exercise, put that positivity to work! Tell yourself, "Wow! I feel so great having made this choice, and I am so proud of myself!". That way, you're reinforcing the positive behaviors. I'm a pretty positive chick myself, and that approach has REALLY helped me - just turning that positivity into a way to reinforce my good choices so they become good HABITS. Can't wait to see you around more soon and get to know you! |
