Ready to be ME again!
 

Hi everyone, my name is Gerry and I am 31 years old. I have battled my weight since I was about 14. I kept things pretty under control until I got married at 19 and about six months later I had a horrible car accident which left me bedridden for about 6 months. Needless to say the weight soon piled on. I finally came to myself about three years ago at 245 pounds. I couldn't believe how fat I was. I joined LA weightloss and lost down to 180. Then I got pregnant unexpectantly (it had taken three dr's and medication to get pregnant before) and I tried very hard to watch what I ate, etc., but pretty soon I felt so crummy I just ate whatever! The result is that I weigh 210 right now and I am miserable. I started "eating right" on Monday and I have lost 5 pounds already! That really motivated me. So today I am joining a gym again and looking for support and weight loss buddies here on 3FC! This seems like a great place.

Looks like you know what to do, and how to do it, at least for now. Congratulations on your 5 lb loss so far! Keep with it, and you'll be posting bigger numbers as time goes on.

Thanks everyone, I did visit a gym today and I think that I will join it on Monday. I was most worried about how my baby would do being left in the childcare but she did great! That was such a relief. I think I am going to tell DH that I want the membership for Christmas, it was really a nice place.

Congrats on your new focus and on your 5lb success already! You are off to a great start and I know that your progress is going to continue from there! I am also a "newbie" here and I have already found so much encouragement, motivation and support. You can do this!!
