Please I need Help!!!

Hey everyone, I'm a new member to this site. I was surfing the web looking for weight loss tips and I came across this site. It seemed to be packed with all the tips and help I need to get started. I really need help losing weight. I've been on and off for years now, fluctuating between 270-300, and now I'm over 300 pounds and it's really taking a toll on my body; physically, emotionally and mentallly. My ideal weight would be 140 pounds, but I've got a long ways to go to get there. I think I'm finally motivated to start now, but I need a constant push at times. My weakness is carbs, I can eat rice everyday and I don't really do veggies too often. I recently started working out at the gym, doing about an hour of cardio a day, but I'm not consistent. I'll go for 2 days one week, 3 the next and sometimes I won't go at all. I really need help with my eating habits, and to stay motivated to work out. Please if anyone has any suggestions or words of advice for me, please feel free to reply. I would really appreciate it.

Hi there and welcome,
You will be so happy you found this site. I know I totally am. I, too, got up to 310 ~ couldn't believe it, but I did. I have managed to get down to 266 which isn't easy and has taken me a while. I don't seem to lose fast. Good for you on going to the gym ~ where we live, I would have to travel like an hour to get to one.
Just being here will encourage you and give you tips.
Good luck on your journey!!
Take care,
God Bless,
Tari

You'll get lots of tips and ideas here, as well as support.
It's good that you go to the gym, even if it is only a few days out of the week, because at least you are going. Starting slow is better than no start at all.

On days that I know I don't want to hit the gym or do any sort or work out, I always ask myself...Why not? "Okay it's not hard to walk to the car." Once in the car.. "Okay.. five minute drive to the gym... no biggie" And poof... I'm at the gym and I may as well go inside. It's all about little steps.

Anyways, once you find your motivation, you won't be able to wait to get to the gym. Good luck!

You CAN do this. You may want to check out the 100 lb club in the support area. :)

Best of luck!
