Hi & welcome!

What I've found that works for me is to give up all prepackaged processed foods. Shop the outside isles of the grocery store where you'll find all the fresh fruits & vegetables, lean meats, whole grain breads/tortillas. I've tried so many diets in the past and lost weight on every single one of them, the problem with diets though is that when they end (when you reach your goal) most people will go back to eating the same way they did before & regain the weight as a result, it's happened to me time & time again. For me a healthy nutritional life style is the only way to go. I am not on a diet, I have lost weight & the way I eat now is something that I can an will do for the rest of my life. Don't get me wrong though, I do on rare occasions have some of the unhealthy stuff but I limit it, I think to completely deprive yourself of something that you really like is dangerous & will lead to a binge, so it's ok to have a few potato chips or whatever "once in a while".
This is also "family friendly", no yucky (a little kids speak there) diet foods!
