New here, saying hello...Miami Beach

  • Hello all! My name is Kristin and I stumbled upon your group accidently and I'm very happy I did. I just recently had my son and am attempting to lose the baby fat (20 lbs). I'm very short 5'1 so any extra really shows....

    Let's be honest I work 40 hours then run home so my husband can go to work, so I have little or no time to myself. (But the baby isn't in daycare so it's a good sacrifice.)

    I am hoping to find the motivation and encouragement here so I can get home and instead of sitting on the couch do a little exercise, sometimes it's a little hard to do anything after a full day at work then the baby at home!

    It is ROUGH with a baby at home and so much to do to fit in eating right and exercising. Luckily, though, you have some options. You can always work in some exercise at home while the baby is sleeping or playing independently, even with him in the same room. Exercise tapes and resistance bands are both inexpensive and can help you to always have the equipment on hand. There is also that old standby - walking the baby in the stroller!

    Because of your busy schedule, this is going to take some planning, but once you get into a routine of planning your meals, prepping your foods ahead of time, and always being prepared with snacks, you'll find your life becomes LESS hectic because everything is already planned.
