Hi everyone!

I've been lurking for a week or so and thought I'd finally say hi. I am down 27 pounds by doing this and that, but not sticking with anything consistently. I am ready to get serious. 4 out of the 5 women in the last generation of my family have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. :( I am hoping that through better diet and exercise that I will be able to avoid this dreaded disease. I have an awful lot of weight to lose, so I will be hanging around a while.

Hi all I'm Jenn and I am new to this forum. I just found this group by accident while researching Shapely Secrets (there's a great long running thread posted about this "fitness" product) Anyway I just wanted to stop and see what all the buzz was about. This looks like a pretty down to earth real people kind of site. I've been on other fitness and weight loss forums before and thought they were overly competitive or tried to steer the members into buying thjis product or that supplement. From what I've seen so far this site is very different so maybe I'll find a cyber buddy or two that help me shed some serious weight (60+ lbs!!!:mad:) I can't believe I am so far overweight. This is the heaviest I've been in my entire life and its really effecting how I relate to people and how happy I really am. I jokingly tell my staff and friends that I used to be shallow and skinny my punishment to spend the rest of my life fat and funny. Deep down I'd like to be fit and fabulous. Thanks for being here.
