Ok, I'm fat, so now what?
Hi everybody. I found this site by almost clicking on the "Fat Loss 4 Idiots" order form. Fortunately, I thought.. Let's just google any reviews before I give up my money. Glad I did! 3 Fat Chicks says No, no, no to Fat Loss 4 idiots .. I'm no idiot! Just desperate!
I am 40 years old. I recently left my very high stress job to stay home with my family. I am the mom of two young teenage kids. Since I left my job, the pounds have been adding up faster than my grocery bill! My husband is also overweight, and I feel like we have fallen into this hole and can't get out! My hubby and I joined Herbal Magic about a year ago. Holy heck it was expensive! A rediculous amount of money to join and an ongoing weekly fee for products, for however long it took to lose the weight. We lasted a month before the anger of dishing out hundred dollar bills got to the best of us. The program has a good idea.. I got it! But, they suck the money out of you for no reason!! I lost about 17 lbs, and my husband lost 25. Wow! great huh! Well, we felt so deprived of actual tasteful food, that we went right back to eating bad foods and gained it all back in about 3 weeks. I think I have actually put on an extra 10 lbs. It was a terrible experience. I am overweight, I don't work and I have so many excuses for not exercising and not eating right, I could write a book about it. I need support. So here I am. To share stories with other people who know what I am going through. I am going to use the principles of what HM taught me, just not the pills or the 3x weekly visits. Wish me luck! |
Best of luck to you AND you hubby!!!!!

Welcome and good luck with your journey. Funny how we are willing to do anything to lose weight. I know I have learned so much here about my journey being a lifestyle change and not a diet. I wish you and your family the best of luck. Look around and see where you feel good posting. I too could think of every excuse not to exercise now I just do it. I don't want to but feel good after I have. Once again good luck. Ann |
Hi, and welcome! Love the thread title. Admitting it is the first step! No, really. I can't believe how long I spent denying that I actually was fat and hence, didn't do anything about it. (This was several years ago, and I did lose weight. But marriage and a couple of babies have put my weight back where it had been, so I'm at it again).

I, too, love your thread title. Cuts right to the chase, so to speak. I think you will find wonderful support and information here, and free (unless you subscribe to the forums to get the ads off - worth it in my opinion). There is definitely something for everyone here from the point of view of weight management plans, life-style, and exercise. You will love it here and you can buy new clothes with all the hundred dollar bills you save from the other program.
