new here looking for supportive people

I am 37 years old and weight 255 pounds. I know all the right things to do but I do not have anybody to check in with me and help me be accountable. I have been married for 11 years and he is great but if I lose weight he brings me something home to eat as a treat. I know he is trying to be helpful but it is not working so I thought someone on here might want to help each other. I am a very outgoing person and love my body but know that I am not healthy.:dancer:

Hey and welcome! I've been here a little over a week and find it to be a great place to hang out. Have you tried talking to your hubby? My husband used to "treat" me with eating out - now we go bowling. Maybe if you just mentioned to him how much you appreciate his thoughtfulness, BUT..., he'll understand and start treating you with non-food items.

Anyway - find a support group - jump in - and have fun!

Hi snowy, I won't mind having an accountabiliy partner either. I need help too. I have so many magazines, books, and etc. My problem is when things gets too hard, I always give up. I am tired .

Hi Snowy,

you've made a huge first step which is to be accountable for what you are/aren't doing. That is great. I am in the same boat as you sorta.

Well I just wanted to say welcome, and I hope to learn more about you and be able to celebrate some of our successes with each other.

That would be great I do the same thing. I need someone to help keep me moving in the right direction and I can do the same for them. I know all the things I am suppose to do as we all do it is just doing it. I am tired of being overweight 255 at 5'3. Sorry for waiting so long to respond we went on vacation but good news no weight gain but no lose either but rather stay the same than gain. But today starts another week good luck to you .:D

Hi and :welcome:

There are lots of incredibly supportive, helpful people here, as well as great advice, encouragement, and sometimes, when you need it, a little push to get you back in gear.

Can't wait to get to know you better!
