Okay, the one thing I have learned the most here is ----
it's not a "diet", it's a lifestyle. Diet signifies a beginning and an end, as in "I went on a diet and lost 50 lbs". Diet, to me, sounds like I'm going to do this until I get where I want and then the old habits seem to creap back in on you (those darn things

).
It's all about making wise choices, taking care of your health and well-beaing and finding a program you can do for the rest of your life. There are tons of great programs on here (WW, Atkin's, calorie counters, etc.). Take a good look around, get some ideas or maybe you already have something in mind. Just make sure it is something you can be comfortable with -- you have to do it forever. Even little changes, over time add up to a big change and a definite weight loss.
