Hello.
Well, I'll give you the stats and then talk about myself:
CW: 243.5 lbs as of 10/04/07 HW: 245 lbs LW: 145 lbs LTGW: 145 lbs STGW: 230 lbs by 12/01/07 My name is Amanda, I'm 22 yrs old, and I live in San Antonio, TX. I currently work as the devil [insurance agent] that sells crap to senile people that can't help themselves [Medicare supplemental and prescription drug plans]. Actually, I really like my job [helping people is quite the mood-boost], just not the actual place I work. Uhm...let's see. The 145 lbs was in high school when I was sleeping 5 hours a night and constantly going from waking till dropping. I was in various sports and extra curricular stuff, blah blah blah. End result? Skinny me. Got to college, quit everything, gained mondo-pounds. Right now I'm out of college and working to save up to go back in, and trying to lose the weight. I'm currently hitting the gym between three and five times a week and trying to get to the classes there for Yoga in the evenings. I've only lost a couple lbs total, but my jeans and clothes are all starting to get baggy, so that's encouraging! I need encouragement...which is why I'm here :) Nice meeting y'all. |

Wow, good for you for hitting the gym! I always measured my progress at least in part by how my clothes fit. It seemed to more accurately reflect my efforts than the scale, which could go up or down depending on the full moon, the weather, or some other factor I could never determined. This is a great spot for encouragement. I'm not sure what type of eating plan you're following, but most likely, we have an area for it, so look around and keep posting.
