Help!!!
|
Hi! I need some help. I've been struggling with my weight for almost 4 years now. I'm 5'0"-150 pounds. After my 3rd child I end up with 193 pounds and manage to loose 43, but now nothing seems to work for me. I'm starting to feel bad and depress every time I looked at myself in the mirror and need to loose more weight. What is the best way to start? I will like to have a quick start to get me motivated to continue. What do you think about South Beach Diet? What about any Detox diet? Can you recommend something? Please help....

Welcome gristchi!
I recommend that you do some research on the various diets. Check out the forums for each, and feel free to post plan-specific questions. What is the best plan for you? Only you can answer that question. How does your body handle carbs? Protein? Whole foods? What are your trigger foods that you can't seem to limit? Pick a plan that you can stick with for life - one that will train you to develop healthy habits that you can live with long-term. Personally, I count calories. I try to practice portion control, eat every 2.5 - 3 hours and eat as many non-processed and whole foods as I can. I feel so much better when I eat this way, and eating every couple of hours really helps me keep my emotional, stress and boredom eating under control. For me, exercise is also an important part of my plan. It helps me feel strong and fit and keeps me feeling positive about the changes I am making. For the first time in my 49 years, I think I CAN do this for the rest of my life. :) Good luck! You CAN do this. |
Welcome gristchi! I think CountingDown said it right that you should check out different types of diet suggestions first. It's true that you may have to try several of them to find one that fits your body & lifestyle, something that you can follow for the rest of your life.
I personally follow Weight Watchers Flex Points. This has worked for me, because it focuses on eating better, adding in exercise, and group support. I find that everyone here is very supportive, and I hope you will too. The best of luck to you in finding a lifestyle plan that works! |
