Hi!! new to 3fc & can't wait to start

Hi all! :D I happened to find 3fc while doing a search on Turbo Jam. I saw how motivating you all are on here and thought this would be a great place to look for advice & motivation and hopefully I can give back when I become more knowledgeable in all of this!

A little about me: I am 29 years old, married, mother of 1 son. I've got my B.S. in Mass Comm but am currently working in the stock market. My husband is a grad student, getting his PhD, working in cancer research. Our son is in 3rd grade and is a spitball of energy.

Today I finally did it. I bought Turbo Jam Maximum Results and can not wait for it to arrive in the mail! I will also be working on my diet, not sure what yet, but I do know portion control is a big problem I need to overcome! If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it!! (anything but Adkins...was on that for a year, my husband would kill me if I cut out the carbs again!) :carrot:

I hope to chat with many of you during this process as I know support is a key thing in weight loss. If you have any questions that you think I may be able to help out with, please feel free to ask!

Can't wait to get started!!!
Andi

Hiya, and welcome. Portion control is a huge problem for me as well. I am starting to use measuring cups and spoons for everything I eat. It is helping, and I am using the smaller plates so that my plate looks more full. I usually use thelargest of them and then fill it and cram everything, then clean up the left overs later by eating them as well. So, now I am making sure to make meals with no left overs and all portioned for the entire family. I can't eat more than my portion because then my husband or daughters won't have anything to eat!

Thanks for the warm welcome ladies!! I am so excited to start this journey. I started this morning by waking up and working out! I have now really started to look at labels and to see what kind of caloric intake I have been doing and boy no wonder why I wasn't losing the weight before! I can't wait for the pounds to waste away and to have the support of you ladies beside me! Thanks again and I am sure we will all chat again many times!
