Howdy from Texas
:cool:Just joined this great organization. I have been offically on a diet for 1 week. I am on doctor supervised diet. I hope this one helps. I have not tried any diets since I was 20. I am 50 years old, 5'4" and weigh 249 according to my doctor. I was formerly in the military and had a problem then. I retired from the military 10 years ago, and have now decided that it was time to get the weight off. I do have experience keeping the weight down but not taking it off first. Hope to get your support.
:?:One question, what is an ideal weight? I was told one time that it is the what you weighed at 18? If this is right, I would be 129, but if not what is a good gauge? |
:welcome2: to 3fc!
To be "normal weight" according to BMI, you'd need to weigh somewhere between 110 and 142.5. BMI isn't a perfect measure of health or fitness, but it's not bad for a place to start. Kim |
welcome margieh. I just joined yesterday and would love to have a Texas buddy for support. Send me a message if you are interested. I am located in South Texas.
Good luck! |
Thanks, Kaw, it is so confusing to decide what is right.
Martisol, I also live in South Texas, south of San Antonio. Maybe we could get together. |
