Where do I start?????
 

So.......I'm not even sure how or where to start. I live in Fl, I'm single and FAT! God, I feel like I'm writing to some obscure personal add. :)

Anyway, I guess I'll give a brief run down of how I got in this position. My love affair with ice cream is probably a good place to start! Then a year ago I began having problems with my gallbladder and while I did lose a tiny bit of weight it was quickly regained after surgery when I began to have complications which led to less time in the gym and more time on my couch with "Ben &Jerry"! I have since gone back to the gym, broken off the affair, etc. However, I was 150 at the time of surgery (10 over my goal) leaving me now 175 (35 over my goal) so I have a lot of work to do and really need all the help I can get.

For the next 3 weeks I am going to be using Nutri-System (mainly because I have a bunch of the food left and it doesn't really taste all that bad) I'm setting a pretty lofty goal of 15 pounds, but I would be happy with 10. The reason for SUCH a high goal is this. I honestly CAN NOT fit into any of my pants. I recently had a change in some of my meds and gained this last 10 pounds in the past month, so I have to get it off.

Not sure what sorts of meds you were on, but we have a "dieting with obstacles" thread, and several of the members there gained weight on medications from birth control to antidepressants to steroids...they can make it difficult to lose weight if you're still on the medication, so it might be nice to talk to some folks who have been in the same situation. We also have a devoted area for NutriSystem and other meal delivery folks, so you might want to explore there.
