Gearing Up for D-Day

Hello chicas!

I finished my Master's degree about a year ago, but am only just about to start my first real grown up job (working the normal 8-5, M-F). Woo hoo! As my hubby and I are finally going to be on the same schedule (I've been working nights and weekends this past year), we're preparing to shed all those fanny expanding grad school pounds (and then some...we've sort of ballooned since we married 4 years ago). D-Day (when we begin our diet) is Wednesday. Our battle plan of choice is The Sonoma Diet (well it's my choice--as I'm the one who does all the cooking! ;) ). We're going to start walking our two dogs in the evenings after work and when we finish saving up for it, we're buying a home gym. We're really serious this time! I have 28 pounds to lose and he has closer to...80? I'm looking forward to busting the flab! :carrot:

Welcome! I don't know much about the Sonoma Diet, but I've seen a folder in the diets section for folks following that plan. Good luck with your loss! Sounds like you have the motivation and planning to make it work!
