I'm so excited I found you!

  • 3 Fat chicks seems just the place for me! I posted yesterday about my recent tummy tuck and some questions about long term results (thanks again Meg for answering!). I have lost 60 pounds in the last two years, through exercise and portion control ( I tried everything else for twenty years - nothing else worked!). About a year ago I entered my first race - 5 miles. I ran almost all of it. It changed my life. I learned I could enjoy competitve events without really being super competitive - I'm quite slow but there really is no feeling in the world like crossing the finish line. Since last spring I've done two triathlons, two five mile races, and three half-marathons. I turned fifty on my birthday last month, and it was wonderful to celebrate it knowing there is an athlete hidden inside me. Now I'd like to get back on track with sensible eating and begin training again. I've had some problems getting motivated again to start back - once you stop it's hard to pick up training and sensible eating again! Thank you so much for letting me join your group!
  • Hi there! I did the same thing last year: got off track. I've slowly gotten back on and it's definitely where I'd rather be. Good luck... now hop back on that wagon! You can do it!
  • WOW! You're amazing! Congrats on the races, and a belated happy birthday to you!

  • Wow! I am impressed with your fitness regimen! Welcome and keep on doing your fantastic fitness quest! Amazing!!
  • Congrats on your weight loss! I am having a mommy makeover. I just had my breast done today and it's is going okay. Not too much pain.
But I am going back Monday for full body liposuction and a tummy tuck. And I am TERRIFED of the pain I am going to be in. I hear some people say it is horrible pain and others say it is okay, not too bad. Everyone recovers different so hopefully mine will be a good one!
I am glad to hear that your are happy with your results! I am happy for you =)
