Default Greetings from South Texas, y'all

Hi there!
I've been a big fan of 3fat chicks for years....and I finally decided to create a profile.
I just made a life changing move from Colorado to Texas to be closer to my mom, put my kid in smaller classrooms and try to get ahead financially. I have a good job, good husband and a spare tire!
I lost alot of weight after having my daugther (4 years ago!) on the Atkins diet. I don't think I'll try it again. I felt great after a while, but it was too easy to fall off the wagon.
I'm working on calorie counting this time, something I've never done. According to Fit Day (which was awesome on Atkins btw) I should consume 1477-1500 calories per day. Today I hit 1565. My first day and I'm waaaay over.
Anyhoo, wanted to say howdy and I'll probably be in the Calorie Counting forum! I look forward to making new buds here on 3fc!!

WELCOME. Don't worry about being over the first day. One day didn't get any of us to this weight. It was a whole lot of over calorie days that did it. I also count calories. I plan what I'm going to have. When I'm done with my calories for the day I'm done. If I want something more, I tell myself you can have it the next day. The funny thing when the next day comes I never want it. Have a great day. Hope to hear more from you.

Amy, 65 calories isn't WAY over. If you had eaten 3000 calories, that would be way over! Eight ounces of skim milk has 80 calories, so cutting out one little thing will probably put you right on track.

Welcome to the forum! It's always nice to have new friends!
