Hello. My name is Marie. I've lost 17 pounds so far, and have another 86 to go. Such a large number, it's overwhelming. But I'm going to take it in smaller 10 pound increments until I get there. This forum is very inspirational, especially the Goal posts!
Hi Marie, our goals are the same and our starting weight wasn't too far apart. The numbers can be intimidating when you put them down on paper, but I'm sure we can lose it. I was just telling my husband last night, as badly as I want to lose this weight, I feel that if I can't push myself to do it, I don't see how I could do anything. I agree the goal posts help a lot, they're very inspirational.
22 pounds down now. I'm joining the local YMCA next week - nautilus, indoor pool, free classes, everything from pilates & yoga to kickboxing and zumba dancing hehe. Also, I'm picking up my BRAND NEW mountain bike a woman named Mary I work with is giving me.. FOR FREE!! I also bought some weights and one of those resistance bands to do some working out at home until I get the YMCA membership, and for those days I can't get in to work out there. So, it's 22 pounds lost so far with just modifying my diet, imagine what I can accomplish once I start exercising =D I also changed my goal weight from 145 lb. to 150 lb. but mainly I am going to go by actual measurements and how clothes fit me, how I feel.
