Hello, from southwest Pa.!

  • Just wanted to introduce myself to the board. I am 53 yrs. old and have battled with the weight since I started menopause when I was app. 42!!!

Hoping to find some friends that will help me on this weight loss journey. My biggest problem is remembering to eat. I usually go all day without eating and then eat late at night. Not good, I know.

What do you do that works for you?

  • Try planning your meals. Keeping your blood sugar balanced by eating small meals throughout the day will help your body use the food-fuel effectively.

    Welcome to the forum!

Hi Musicdiva I'm also from Southwest PA! I'd definetly recommend not going all day without eating. You probably feel so deprived by the end of the day--I know I would and I would probably eat everything in the house!
  • Hello Musicdiva.. Welcome! Good luck with your weight loss efforts! You can do this!!
  • Hello! I hope you find time in the day for yourself and know that you will start making breakfast (10 minutes, right?) and lunch and start drinking lots of water! You can do it!
  • HI, I have to agree with everyone else. You have to change your eating habits! We develope habits, but we can change them too. If you are home all day, set the clock to remind you to eat. If you don't like breakfast food, that's ok. You can eat whatever you like, as long as the calories are right! Adn set a cut off time for eating in the evening. The rule is 3 hours before you go to bed.

You can do this! Nobody said it would be easy, but it is doable if you really want it!
