New from Northern CA

Hi! Looking for diet buddies in my area to talk and maybe complain a little! I live in Sacramento and have about 15 pounds to go until I reach my goal of 30 pounds lost. Of course since summer is here I have been having a hard time saying no to bbq's, social gatherings and work potlucks. There also always seems to be a birthday which means cake. This is all bad new for me! I also really enjoy an ice cold beer on a hot day and it is about 104 right now!! I just started phase one (AGAIN) of the south beach diet.

Welcome! We moved from Beale AFB in February, so I know what the summer weather is like up there! Whew! I remember one day last summer when it hit 117!!!
