Hello from Oregon!
 
Hello everyone! This is my (obviously) first post here. First of many!

My name is Leslie, and I’m 21 years old. I’ve been overweight almost my entire life (since about 2nd grade). It has put me into depressions, among many other things. I’ve become very shy because of it, shutting myself away for about 7 years. I’m finally starting to get over my shyness some, but I’m still very un-self-confident. I was made fun of very badly in school because of my weight, so I dropped out in 9th grade, and that was the begining of a very lonely 7 years. Rarly even leaving the house. I’ve never even had a boyfriend or a job! I want to get healthy and active again so I can lead a normal and happy life. I always knew I was overweight, but I didn’t really realise HOW overweight I was until I saw some pictures my sister took of me earlier (july 4th). Now I realise what I must do. I must lose weight and be healthy again! I start now!

I honestly can’t belive I have let it get this out of hand! I have tried diets before, and once actually lost down to about 205 pounds (im about 247 now. I’ll post with an exact weight tomorrow) but the for some reason stopped and gained it back and then some. >.<

I checked actually up on my weight, and this is what it says about me and my weight:

Your BMI: 42.4

Yikes. I have a long journy ahead of me! But one I am determined to finish! =)

Ahhh, nice to see a fellow Oregonian!

What I did before I jumped into losing weight again, was to really evaluate how I was going to have a successful eating and exercise plan so I wouldn't give up after a certain number of weeks or months here. Check out all the wonderful eating and work out plans they have as suggestions on this blog and see what works for you!

I will do that. =) I'm still working it all out, but I'm also working at eating healthier and getting active while I do so. =P

You can do it! I'm trying to focus on staying positive and pre-planning everything from meals to work-outs so I stay on track. I wish you the best!

I had actually planned out my meals for today, just to realise once today came that I didn't have half the stuff that was supposed to be in those meals. So blah. XP I kept up pretty well though!

I'm keeping a weight loss journal too, updated daily, if anyone is interested in sharing comments/support on there! I'll do the same too. :hug:
