I've found that there is alot of support and advise going on throughout this whole site. If you look at all the forums, there seems to be one for everyone here. I'm 20 and also struggling to lose weight.

I'm new here also, I just joined last night.

Hi Abby - Welcome to 3FC! This is a great site for support and ecouragement.

As far as "tips" go, you'll find that there are many different forums here dedicated to various ways of losing weight. I personally have been calorie counting and increasing my exercise. It's easy, healthy and with the free online software available (FitDay, NutriDiary), you can easily keep track of what you're eating and how many calories.

You're young, and you have a wonderful opportunity to make healthy changes that you will benefit from for the rest of your life!

Good for you for reaching out and doing something to help you out!

Hey there,

Well - weightloss equals spending more energy/calories than you take in. Thats the easy part.

The hard bit is finding the most painfree way to do it that works for you...and then sticking to it.
In general - don't be too hard on yourself. Never go below 1200 cals a day. Exercise wise, ease yourself in gently. Try as many new healthy foods as possible...read round here, there is much wise advice.
