I'm new!! Anyone else struggling with hypothyroidism??

Hey everyone! I found this site by accident, but have heard of it before in a book I read about hypothyroidism. It listed this site as a resource. :D

Hello... just now saw this thread. Welcome! I guess it depends on what you mean "struggling" with hypothroidism -- I definitely have it and in fact have had half of my thyroid removed because of a (benign) tumor. However, in working closely with my doctor and having her monitor it, she has worked out the meds so that it is pretty well controlled. What type of problems are you having with it? Are you being medically supervised?

I think there are some threads here in the forum... you might want to do a search under the term and find some help that way. Glad we are listed as a resource! :)

Once again . . . Hi . . .

Here's the link to the Dieting with Obstacles Forum that I put into the other thread where you originally asked this question . . . http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=14

Hope you find your way over there . . . :)

Hi Egyptian, I know there are several of us here on the forum that are hypothyroid, me included. Losing weight may be slower with hypothyroid but it is definitely do-able. Good luck with your weight loss.
