Hi everyone!
I've dealt with weight issues since... well, forever. I've started seeing a personal trainer and have committed myself to following a healthy nutrition plan and exercising regularly. I decided to join this forum to get ideas and talk to other people who are also trying to become healthier too.
My lowest weight has been 150, in 2005, and I'm really proud of that...I worked super hard. Problem was, I got comfortable with it, and gained back about 50 of the 80 that I lost. I've learned through trial and error that the best way I lose and maintain weight is through structure. I envy anyone who can just "eat healthier" and reduce portion size but not calculate anything exactly. I need to write out a meal plan and follow it. I need to regulate what percentage of calories comes from fat, carbohydrates, proteins... right now I'm doing 1200 cals/day, with 45% coming from protein, 40% from carbohydrates, and 15% from fat. 3 meals a day and one snack. I'm drinking about 12 8oz glasses of water a day and working on the whole learning to like vegetables thing.
I'm really motivated. Hope to meet some of you.
