A long way to go

  • I am new here as of today - actually this is the first time I have looked at this site and it looks great.

    I am more than 100 pounds overweight - I am really SICK of thinking about what I shouldn't eat all of the time, when my mate can eat anything he wants and never gain an ounce. It is getting seriously bad lately, though because I am getting problems with my achilles, knee, hip etc from so much weight. I lost 35 pounds last year before my son got married, then proceeded to gain it back. I have always excercised, but now it is getting harder (I still do it).

    I need help, or support from people who have been where I am and who have successfully managed to change (or who are working on change).

    I have been where you are and I am working on (and mostly successfully managing to) change. There are lots of other folks here too, all ready to help and support you.

    Remember - this isn't a "diet". It isn't deprivation - its just trading healthier choices for your previous less healthy ones. Look around and keep posting - look forward to getting to know you better!
