Hi folks!

I somehow stumbled upon this website when doing a Google search, and I thought joining the forum would be a good idea. So here I am and hello!

Well, I've never been a small person. I got to be about the height and build I am now when I was 12, and I think I weighed about 230 pounds back then, and perhaps a size 22. When I was 16, I started getting more active and eating better, and by the time I was 17 I weighed 200 pounds and was a size 16. Things stayed that way for a few years until after I went to college and started working at a fast food restaurant. Needless to say, I got lazy and ate a lot more bad food! Up until a month ago, I weighed between 270 and 280 and am a size 26. That's when I started to do something about my weight. Right now I'm at 258 and am trying to be more active and eat better. My pants are all loose, which encourages me to continue. I am thinking of adding to my current exercise routine of walking and my goal is to reach 170 and see how it goes from there. Generally speaking, I don't have a lot of will-power and I am lacking in self-esteem, so I figure joining up with you folks will help me reach my goal and hopefully I can help some of you.

Hi Shadow,
We are the same hieght and I started this last month at 279:( , I have found lots of encouragement and information here, and am in this for the long run. There are lots of great groups here, I post alot on the 100lb club ( to loose) and love it. Read some of the success stories, if these people can do it so can we!!! Good luck and I look forward to reading your success story one day too.

Hello and welcome.

First and most important, keep posting! This is a great place to get support, a kick in the pants, new ideas, or any other help you might need, but it only works if you post. Look around, settle in, and get to know us.

Look forward to getting to know you better soon!
