Hi everyone!

  • I just joined today and thought I would introduce myself.

    My name is Casie and I'm a food addict (Hi Casie.....)

    I started the LA Weight loss program Monday the 21st and lost 6 pounds during the take-off phase. Lost another 1 lb. after than, then gained it right back over the long weekend! UGH. Following the program with a vengence all week this week so I'm anxious to see what my weigh-in results are tomorrow.

    Anyway, a little bit about me:

    30 something Mom of 2 who's engaged to the most wonderful man on the planet. Wedding is March 17th (St' Patty's day) at the beach. I met him a year and a half ago when I weighed about 220 lbs (my profile pic reflects my old weight. I haven't had a pic taken of me since then). and 4 months after that my Dad died suddenly. Depression set it, I started working 2 jobs, my tennis game all but ended short of no time to play (avid tennis player) and over the year I have gained 60+ pounds. He proposed May 17th and I started LAWL on the 21st. I vow to lose 90 lbs. by March 17th if it kills me. I'm tired of being tired. I'm tired of being fat. I'm tired of wondering what a gorgeous man is doing with a fat girl like me!

    Anyway, I was looking for something like this to offer a support system and came across this site. It looks perfect! I look forward to getting to know all of you and offering friendship, support and a swift kick in the rear when we need it!

  • Welcome! I think that losing 90 pounds by next March is doable if you are diligent and smart about it (don't "kill" yourself!).

    I too have a goal to lose 90 lbs by next March. Welcome and good luck, take your time and think before you put anything in your mouth.

    This is a great site and it really does keep you motivated. Especially the before and after pictures of everyone and also the NSV's they experience.

    I am not on any specific plan just doing my own thing. I looked into LAWL but I cannot afford it being a single parent. So I have just decided to lose the weight my way and keep track of my calories and exercise religously. I weigh in once a week and my mother keeps track of the weight and inches, this way I make myself accountable to someone besides myself, and believe me she is a complete drill sargent. Since I have started a month ago I am down 12 lbs and 14.5 inches, so it is working.

    I'm new too but I already really love it. I have to giggle at you though ~ you wondered what a gorgeous man was doing with you. Um... have you looked at that picture? You are beautiful sweetie and he's a smart man. Congratulations!

    Just remember that you can do it...and like others before me have said, don't try to over do it
