Opti-fast

Howdy!
I have been trying to lose weight for some time now, and when a really painful event occured in my life, I went in the completely opposite direction and started gaining weight. I ended up at 220, the most I had ever weighed. I finally decided to do something about it. So I tried diet after diet and none of them were working for me, or they were working far to slowly. Then I learned about Opti-Fast through my health care provider. SO I have been on Opti-fast for three whole weeks now and I have gone from 217 to 202. I am thouroughly excited with my results. I also feel really good because everyone in my office keeps telling me how proud they are of me, and my family is telling me how proud they are of me. The tragedy that pushed me to gain all the weight was the tramatic death of my father (I will spare the details) about 10 months ago. And the best part of losing all this weight, is I know he is the most proud of how well I am doing.:)
I am also brand new to this website, and look forward to communicating my tribulations with others so they know they are not alone in the struggle to lose weight. And also so I don't feel so alone on my journey to a healtheir me!

Sorry about the loss of you Dad the death of a loved one is very hard to bear even more so if it is a parent. It is understandable that you turn to food in your time of bereavement and I am sure that you are not the only one to turn to food at a time like this. But the most important thing is now that you have made the decision to eat more healthier and you have seen the benefits in your weight already. I am sure that your father would be proud how far you have come and that you are embarking on your weight loss journey.

I am new here also. I lost my mother 2 years ago April 27th. I have always struggled with my weight, but since she's been gone, It has been worse. I see a movie with a mother and daughter and my heart breaks and I go straight for the ice cream, chips, or whatever I can find in the house. I am sorry for your loss and I wish you all the best if your weight loss goals! I have been lurking here for about a week and everyone seems to be very supportive of each other.
