Default Hello Everyone!

Hi everyone! My name is Anya and I live in Baltimore Maryland. I'm 17 years old, and ever since the beginning of high school I've been gaining considerable weight.

I've been to weight watchers, and I loved it, but it was just getting too darn expensive for me. I just joined a gym, but I'm also one of those people who definitely lacks motivation. I saw an article about this site in the Oprah magazine at work, so I thought maybe this would help!

Looking forward to talk to all of you!

Anya

Welcome, Anya (beautiful name, by the way)!

I think it's very smart that you're trying to nip your weight loss in the bud-- the older you get, the more ingrained your bad habits will be and then it will be even harder to lose. Have you come up with an eating plan, like calorie counting?

Welcome and good luck. I agree, do it now before more pounds pile on. The more you need to lose the harder it is.If you exercise with your diet you will be more successful at losing.Have you thought about counting calories? This won't cost you a cent.

I haven't actually thought about calorie counting, how does that work?

I do it this way.Takes me about 5 minutes to plan my meals for the day.
I usually do it the night before.Staying within my calorie allowance I list each meal and snack, not going over my calorie allowance. If I do not plan ahead

oops. I sent before I was done,I was about to say if I do not plan ahead I might run out of calories before noon. You can buy a small book with calorie counts and you can get the same info on the internet, think of it like having a checking account, do not spend more than you have.Plan ahead and keep track of every bite you take. It is really very easy once you try it.
