I need to get unstuck!!
I've been trying to do this all alone and have been very stuck for quite some time. When I hit 200 I panicked and lost 20, but I've been here at 180 for a few years. I lose a bit and then wham it's back. I know what the answers are, move more, eat less, stress less... and I know what the problem is, I need to plan more. But actually DOING what I need to do? I sabotage myself.
So here I am. |
I'm right there with ya!! I believe that by coming to this forum we have made a step in the right direction. I also had to come to a point where my thinking changed. I had to realize that my health is a gift and if I do not take care of it I will lose it. I don't want to be someone who just sits on the couch and mindlessly stuffs food into her mouth. That is not a pretty picture.

It really is hard to break the cycle. Try not looking at it as 'dieting'. Make a decision to be 'healthier', and work on changing your whole lifestyle permanently. Make them changes you can live with. Allow yourself whatever you want, in moderation. I have found that it's a lot easier to break 'bad habits' if I don't try to do it cold turkey and look at it like a lifestyle change, and not just a temporary change to lose some weight.

Oh I so agree! and have come to the place where it is about life changes and not "some" diet plan. I've done Atkins and hey it works but it was not the lifestyle for me and so I didn't stay with it all. I've read a bit about volumetrics and how it was rated #1 by consumer digest, I followed a few links that were provided on the volumterics thread and have decided that this is what I want..healthy food and a eating lifestyle change for the better.
