Default I am Betty

I am new here. I have been dieting for about 2 years and have lost 65 pounds.
I have to lose 22 more to go. The last part is the hardest. I am tired of dieting.
I gain 2 pounds and lose 2 pounds, and a circle that is driving me crazy.
How do I get the little weight marker you use?
betty

Welcome and congratulations on your great loss so far.Do you have a diet and exercise plan ? I personally count calories and exercise. It does get tiring but if we want to lose we have to keep at it.

Welcome Betty! I also am a Grandma -- it's great, isn't it? -- and I ALSO am tired of dieting. I have lost 34 pounds VERY slowly and can't seem to get back in the swing of things. Just losing and gaining the same pound or two. I have lost my initial enthusiasm, so perhaps we can encourage each other in this crazy endeavor, OK?

Oh BETTY . . . I know exactly what you mean . . . I'm a very old (64) Grandma with diabetes and I think I must have just about the slowest losing pattern going -- I average a magnificent 1/2 lb a week -- and it does become depressing after a while . . . BUT . . . you've have definitely come to the right place for ongoing support and inspiration, Chickie . . .

. . . this place is great. Certainly helps to keep me moving and shaking down the long winding road to better health and fitness, no matter how slowly. I just keep reminding myself that it was the tortoise that won the race.

Good luck to you on the continuing journey and on your great loss so far.

Hope to see you around the forums now that you've found us . . .

To get a weight ticker . . .

Method (1) . . . (a) Go to the top of the forum page and click on "User CP" at the left side of the purple navigation bar just under the forum heading. (b) Then, click on "Edit Signature" at the top of the control panel on the left side of the screen. (c) Then click on "Click Here" in the mauve line under the sample (after you read the obligatory 'rules' of course ) (d) Then just fill in your basic information and keep clicking on "Go to next step" as you make your selections for the the various elements.

Method (2) . . . (a) Click on "Quick Links" in the same navigation bar at the top of the forum. (b) Then click on "Sig Weight Tracker" in the pop-down list . . . and that takes you to (d) above.

Have fun . . . It is actually easier to do it than it is to describe it, so don't worry.

BTW, there is a wealth of helpful information here . . . http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=40
