College chick, looking forward to the rest of my life!

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to join this forum. I've always been overweight (except for brief periods of extreme weight loss, and one semester of being fit in high school), and I gained 40 pounds since starting uni this year. Oh, all-you-can-eat dining halls! :dizzy:

Anyway, I'm really missing my cute clothes and extra energy, and I'm committed to getting back into shape, like I was when I used to row. In fact, I'd like to be able to row again!

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's (hypothyroid) this year, and I think that combined with prior eating disorders has shot my metabolism. I am currently on the generic form of Xenadrine, to kick start my metabolism before summer (it has worked for me in the past, with few negative side effects). I'm spending this summer in France, living with a French family, so I hope that will positively affect my health. And finally, starting this fall, I am signing up with a nutritionist (I will be planning my meals) and sharing a personal trainer with a friend!

I don't expect to get rid of this weight quickly, but I know I can do it. I miss being comfortable. Can't wait to get to know all of you!

Hey etoile28, :wel3fc:

Since you have a thyroid disease, you might want to check with your doctor about the Xenadrine--just a word to the wise. Check out the information on this site about weight-loss supplements--interesting stuff.
