New lady on the block.
Hi, I'm Annie. :trampo:
I'm twenty-five and I am so thrilled to find you guys! You've all been informational, inspirational, and incredible. I can't wait to be a part of this community. Just a bit on me, I'm currently at 245 lbs. I was 262 lbs early in the new year - started off strong, but a lower back injury greatly reduced my mobility and motivation. I was glad to see that I hadn't put on all the weight back on from a few weeks of exercise and now I'm back at it, almost fully healed and ready to win this damn fight! I know I can loose as I've done it a few years prior. I went from 225 lbs down to 170 lbs. I know it may not seem like a lot, but it was amazing for me to be able to shop at non-specialty shops and feel healthy again. I ended up gaining the weight back as I had moved across the country and was in a comfortable romantic relationship for the past few years. I'm not sure what made me gain the weight - as I can not put the blame on any one thing - but I'm ready to to get back there. Ideally, I'd like to end up around 150 lbs and really work on toning and strength. I have a naturally thick body and I won't pretend being a size 2 and weighing less large dog doesn't appeal to me, but well, girlfriend ain't made that way. Anyway, I'm single now and entering what I hope to be a terrific passage in my life. I'd love to feel and look healthy and happy again. I wish you all the strength, luck and courage I hope for myself, and I can't wait to share the journey with whatever new friends come my way. I've enclosed a photograph of myself near my heaviest (in the 250's). I hope this gives you an idea of who I am - as if this sad, little post does not. Peace and good will, Annie-mal. Instead of pizza, why not a new pair if earrings or a new perfume or a new cd ? Rewards are great but better to have a non calorie kind.

Yeah, that's very true.
In all actuality, I'll probably be too amped to eat a slice of pizza. And while buying /eating/or doing great things is good and all, shrinking into an old pair of not-skinny-yet jeans will be a reward in itself. ~Annie. |
Hey Annie-mal!! How r u??? Welcome!!! Congratulations on your loss. Well you have proven that you can lose weight through the years. It's just keeping it off. That is my problem too!!! Anyway, I know that I am going to stay on the wagon this time!!! I know you will too!! Glad that you are here posting. It really helps me for accountability. I have also met lots of nice people. Take care -Paula

Helloo! Thanks for the post and encouragement. I am well and still excited to be here! I've joined a site previously exactly for the accountability reason - however, the majority of the users were working on their first tri/marathon. And while that is great and all, it just isn't for me at this current time, hehe.
Big congrats on the weight loss so far! I hope to keep with it this time as well. Plus, this site seems to have some very strong and determined women (and men) who are willing to help and chat-it-out when things aren't going so easily. Here's to keep-on-keeping-on! ~Annie. |
Welcome :) good luck with everything :)

Thank you & you as well! :goodvibes:

By the way, does anyone know how or if it is possible for me to post my own avatar? Any help would be great!
