New to Board ... NOT new to weightloss...

Hello everyone.

I am so happy that i have found this board. I am a 33 year old newly widowed mother of 2 children. I have so much going on in my life that i feel like i have no control of right now that i would love to at least get my eating under control so i feel in control of something. (and become healthy)

I don't even know what to do with myself anymore with this weightloss thing. i KNOW i want to lose weight and i will be all motivated and all gung ho about it then BAM ... i just don't do it!... leaves me feeling depressed, like a failure and just plain ole lazy.

i would LOVE to lose at least 80-100 pounds but am not looking toward that right now. right now i just want to change my eating habbits and get healthy, the weightloss i like to take in 10 pound mini goals so i dont feel too overwhelmed.

well, thats me. fat, and ready to change. now all i have to do is get and STAY motivated.

thanks for reading my ramblings lol ;)

WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME,
Now is the time to get this under control when you are young.
I'm going to share with you what I have found out recently after yo yo dieting for 20 years. DO NOT GO ON A DIET. Change the way you eat. Eat healthy good for you foods, and exercise(anything to get you to move)
I also count my calories, about 1400 for me, you have to find out how many calories you can eat and still lose weight.
Two books that changed my life: YOU on a diet by Oz and Roizen
SuperFoods RX By Pratt.
I have found in my journey that this is 99% in my head. When I got my head in the right place my weight followed. GOOD LUCK. Take my advice or leave it, the decision is yours. Come read some posts in the 100 lb club, you will meet some great people.

:welcome2: I was reading somewhere here where a lady was breaking up her weight to lose in mini goals. Like 25 lbs. at a time. Which to me would make it less overwhelming. This is such an awesome site. You meet so many nice people with so much support to give.

I am new to the group and really want to lose a lot of weight. I need to lose 50 pounds. I lost 125 lbs 3 years ago and have gained 50 of it back and feel awful.
I look forward to the support and different strategies.
