A bit depressing

Hello everyone. I started weight watchers 4 weeks ago and all I lost was 3.8 pounds followed the program but used my 35 extra point each week for a treat night out with hubby. I was on south beach before but needed to weight in somewhere so I would be accountable but it is so depressing to only lose that much in a month. I go to the gym 3 times a week and walk 4 miles each day there on the treadmill when I go.I am 42 is it that hard to lose the older you get!!! Need some encouragement I think I will go back to the south beach diet I seem o have done better on that.

I don't find that depressing at all. 4 lbs is a great loss. Remember that all along this journey you learn things. Now you know how to lose 3.8 pounds. What if you'd been more frugal with your extra points for those nights out. A few less might have made that a six pound loss .... And ya know ... enough 3 plus 3 plus 3 can add up to a tremendous weight loss.

One month is not a fair try ... I don't think. I dunno about you but it took me longer than that to gain weight.

Hi hommer!

Susan makes some great points! With weight loss EVERYTHING is a big deal. Think of it as 3500x the amount of pounds you lost. That puts your weight loss in even CLEARER perspective!!!
