20-something and dieting
Hello, I am in my mid-twenties and am trying to reach out to find new people for a support system because I am too embarrassed to admit to people that I am even dieting, let alone to go to Weight Watchers meetings for group support! My current attempt to lose weight has been *somewhat* positive, but I still think I need to lose a few more to be completely satisfied with my weight. I am trying to not get bored with food, so I mix South Beach meal bars, Smart Ones meals, and Slim Fast drinks. Are you supposed to do that?! Hmmm. But still, every once in a while I lose control and eat like half a cake or something! Does this ring a bell with anyone? Well, anyways, hope to chat with you sometime soon and it was nice to meet you!

Hi Mela! Welcome here! I'm still fairly new to this site myself but love it!!! I too am in my mid 20's and trying desperately to get a few more pounds off.
And just wanted to say.... I can completely relate to the eating half a cake thing :o |
hey Mel and Kyra!
I'm proof that you guys can do this! It took me about a year to lose every single pound, but at my highest, I was 160 pounds and I'm only 5'5. I've lost 2sizes in all of my clothes, and I've maintained for about a year. Both of you have already lost a bunch of weight - you are well on your way! Good luck, |
Hi Mel A,
Oh how I get eating half a cake!..I have such a sweet tooth that I can eat desserts for breakfast, lunch and dinner ..which is why I am on this site!:).. and I do not know if your doing a calorie counter because if you are I dont think changing between sllimfast and south beach will matter..as long as you keep the calories down. I think I heard on oprah that weight loss is hundred percent guaranteed..calories in are less than calories in!!!..if it was only soo simple right :) Sara |
