been at it a while..
hi! obviously i'm new here. i started working out and dieting a month ago after having not worked out in a month. i figured support would be great, so here i am. hopefully, this will help me stay on track. my goal isnt 'weight loss' as in pounds..its size loss, as in inches. i know when i measured myself at christmas time my waist was 45-47 inches. i dont know what it is now..seeing as i dont have a tape measure. i should get one. my immediate short term goal is 40in, and id like to achieve that by june. i think its realistic..i hope it is..ha.
anyway, just thought id put myself in here. any tips, tricks, diet hints, ect are more than welcome. -Leanne |
Hey Leanne, :wel3fc:
Inches is a good goal too! You'll find that exercise is really helpful there. Do you have a food plan as well? Hope to see you around! Jay |
HI Leanne!
Welcome! I LOVE measuring for inches lost! So often I don't lose pounds but due to the exercise that I do and the weight training, I lose inches. My waist and my upper arms are my target areas. They seem to be the most resistant to my efforts. I think it's probably because they have been the biggest for the longest! I hear that a person loses weight from the last places they gained it...first. Good luck! Cheryl |
thank you ladies...and i do have a food plan, Jay. its just to cut calories right now...i do a lot of prepackaged meals like Kashi, SouthBeach, Lean cuisine, ect. the Kashi and South Beach are awesome because theyre high in fiber and protien, some of them reaching up to 30g of protein. so..i guess im into a high fiber/protein diet..
