Please help this overweight mama
Hello
I am 27 and am a SAHM to 4 girls. I am pretty seriously overweight. I have had back to back children and that has helped me in getting to a weight of 220 and I barely stand 5ft 4 in. I was thinking of the SBD but I am nursing, so I am not sure what the best thing for me is. But I have to do something. I have been on Curves before and I just went back last week for the first time since I had my baby (3 months.) My body fat % is 43%. I know I need to lose it, it's just a matter of how. It's so overwhelming b/c I have so much to lose. |
Hi southernmama!
Welcome! You can eat healthy no matter what you are having to deal with in your life, and you can get firm and happy and change the things that you want to change in your life. As far as the nursing goes, eating healthy foods is EXACTLY the right thing to do, and you need to drink plenty of water for weight loss as well as for nursing, too. Check on any processed foods that you might be eating. There may be some ingredients that are OK for you but might cause your baby to get fussy. Walking is a great exercise at any time in a person's life. You MAY want to invest in some Walk Away the Pounds DVDs that can be done in your home. I LOVE Leslie Sansone's DVDs, especially her 4 Mile Super Challenge. You can do this! Cheryl |
