hey everyone i am new to this site so bare with me. it helps to know there are so many of us out there tryiing to lose weight. i couldnt believe i ran across a web site titled 3fatchicks.com i have good days and bad days. i really hate shopping for clothes because i am 44 and all the clothes that fit me are old lady clothes. i weigh 220 lbs. and am 5ft 7. my husband loves me and tells me all the time how sexy i am and how he loves me if im big or small so i am so lucky to have a fantastic man!! i just want to loose 50 to 70 lbs. and it is so hard. i love choclate and i hate to exercise. i have asthma so sometimes it makes it hard. i have a dog that i walk every day so that helps. i just want to be thin again. 15 years ago i weighed 120 lbs. i looked great. it seems every where i look i see thin people and it is good to know that you are all out there for me.

Welcome! :wave: You are an inch taller than me and you weigh A LOT less than I did when I began my weight loss journey (see my ticker!). I'm also eleven years OLDER than you are! If I can do this, YOU can do this! :yes: You have to set a plan and eat enough to keep your metabolism working for you. You need to drink plenty of water, eat a good share of veggies and fruit, and make sure that you take in enough fiber to help rid your body of the fat and toxins that your body will be creating as you burn fat. Just like we didn't put on our weight in one day, it doesn't come off in a day either. It's a slow process, BUT it will happen. Each pound brings us closer to our goal. Set mini-goals, meet them, and set new mini-goals. Go to the mini-goals section and the goals section for some AMAZINGLY inspirational stories to help you get motivated. I use Fitday ( www.Fitday.com ) to help me keep track of my calories and my exercise. It's free! You may want to check it out! You can do this! When I started out I was wearing size 26 Woman's Petite jeans, and today I bought Misses size 16. We don't HAVE to wear matronly clothing. We CAN get out of the PLUS SIZE department! It just takes some time, some patience, eating the right amount of calories, and moving more than you are used to moving. I began with walking as my exercise. I'm now doing Turbo Jam, yoga, Pilates, step aerobics, and just ordered HipHopAbs! I USED to be the "Mom on the couch." Now I have as much energy as my sons!
