right frame of mind
finally I'm in the right frame of mind. I've tried to lose wait for 20 yrs. and finally I am having sucess. I've lost 50# would like to lose 15 more. wouldn't be thin, but would feel better about myself. I must have hit a platoe(can't spell) I have only lost 1# since x-mas. Any ideas?

Welcome!:wave: I had a plateau that lasted EIGHT MONTHS recently! I KNOW how frustrated you must be! Here's what helped me: 1) Using Fitday religiously every day to record my calories and exercise helped a lot because I was made aware that I was eating WAAAY more calories than I THOUGHT I had been eating! 2) Drink a lot of water 3) Eat more fiber 4) Eat more often throughout the day 5) Change up your exercise plan. Your body MAY have become too efficient with your current plan 6) Adjust your calories to that of a smaller person. You may still be eating JUST TO MAINTAIN rather than TO LOSE. Cheryl |

Welcome! I've been using fitday and it has been a huge help. I know how bad those plateaus can be, I haven't hit mine yet this time but I remember them from previous weight losses. I too am in Iowa, hoping this new cold spell passes quickly to get back outside! Great job on your loss so far!!!!Keep us posted on your progress.
