Talking Hoping this is my answer...

Hello Everyone! Gosh, not sure where to begin. My first day on the site, and a big thank you to "O" magazine for that. I'm hoping this brings to me what is has to others... A type of online therapy in knowing that i'm not alone, and i have someone to talk to who is where i am or has been there. I'm 42 years old, and have been struggling to lose weight for years. I know how to, it's just finding a reason to i guess. I mean a reason that i truly believe in. Does that make sense? I just had an arthroscope of my knee a week ago, so i'm on crutches now. Healing is slow, which slows down me. Frustrating. Anyway, i am glad to be here, and hope i can find some people to bond with in my lifes journey of trying to be my best.

Hi there, Chickies . . . Yes you can do this . . . we all can, especially with a little help from our Cyber friends.

You have taken a first, and very important step on the long and winding road to better health and fitness by coming to 3FC. It is a great place and wherever you may go you will receive a very warm welcome.

It is a big place . . . have a good wander around and just jump in and start posting whenever something catches your attention. Like most of us, you will eventually find a couple of favourite spots, but feel free to post everywhere.

Hope you both have a great moving and shaking kind of evening.

to you both. Take some time and look around the site. There are lots of great threads to join in on. Are you doing specific diet plans? If so, there may be a thread for your diet plan. Feel free to join in anywhere. Good luck on your journey.

Hi and WELCOME to 3FC. This is a fantastic beyond belief wonderful place for advice, motivation and support.

Tinastime, I was 42 when I started my journey in September. I turned 43 in Novermeber. I was at my wits end with my life and just knew that I could no longer go on living that way. And finally decided once and for all that I indeed DON'T have to live that way. That I have control over my weight and that there WAS something I can do about it. Yes, I felt it overwhelming, but I was also excited to make a change. And make a change I did. It no longer seems overwhelming, it just seems - right. It was the right time for me. Just like it is for you tina as stated in your name.

And in answer to your question CanIEverDoThis, the answer is a big, fat YES!!!

Good luck to you. We are all here for you. You are in very good hands here at 3FC. I urge you both to check out the 100lb club forum over in the Support Groups. I think it may be just what you are looking for. Hope to see you around.

Thank you all for your support! I already feel a little better about me, and feel like i want to make a difference. I will try hard to be good-for me. That is the hard part. Doing it for me. Almost everything i do is for someone else. Which makes me feel good, but must in some way rob something from me also. I will keep going, and try hard. Yesterday was a bad one. Ate all day... Period is coming... bad excuse i know. Today i feel better about me though, especially after reading all the encouragement on here. Thank you again so much!

Tina~ I might as well have written the above! I love your screen name of Tinas time! My name is Tina too! And I have 4 beautiful kids and 2 dogs and a hubby and I am in constant demand. I got to this point of not fixing my hair or doing my makeup and not even looking at myself in the mirror! And finally I woke up and said NO MORE!!!! It's making a few people mad because I am putting myself first but they'll get over it! haha!

So although I'm not at my goal weight yet I have been doing the following...
Fixing my hair (had a hair appointment the day I started) Doing different things to it...haha...and I've been getting dressed to go out whether I go out or not. I put makeup on my face. I starting tanning (even tho I have more skin to tan than I want to admit...haha) So do it ALL for you. You'll find you have more time for everything else. I spend less time feeling sorry for myself.

Welcome here ~ I love this site. I'm glad I found it. I didn't find it from O magazine ~ I gooled and found it. It's just great!
