Cushings be gone!!!
Hello I am once again fighting the results of the nasty condition Cushings. I first had the rare honor (ha ha) of this mean little pitutary tumor when I was about 23 years old. After about 10 years of doctors poo-ing me off as just another fat woman who wouldn't stop eating I want to a man who actually did something. After removal of the tumor it took a couple years of slow recovery but I lost about 80 of the 135 pounds I had gained and got down under 200 pounds and only had about 50 more to go. I had my energy back. Sorry to say the weight slowly stopped dropping and came back. A year ago I was rediagnosed with Cushings and have since had surgey to remove the new tumor. Thanks to a great doctor I was tested and treated right away once the physical symtoms point that the weight was not just food.
So now here I am again with over 100 pounds to lose and this time I'm 15 years older and well we all know the older we are the more the weight wants to stay aboard for the long haul. If anyone else is or has delt with Cushings I would love to hear from you. Or if you have questions maybe I can help some. |
