another newbie
Hello All,
I am a new member so I need all the encouragement I can get. My exercise will be walking. I will be following a lo-cal PORTION CONTROL diet. Portion control is my main issue! |
Love that calorie counting!
Have you been looking around? here's a link to the Calorie Counters forum http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=172 Read and post, read and post! Make yourself at home. |

Hi Moonshadow-
:welcome2: |
Good for you...here we go!!
Good for you...walking is supposed to be the best. I myself am a newbie and am trying to figure out what type of exercise will be best for a busy, single mom of two. My biggest challenge will be food...I love it!!! Good Luck!!!:carrot:

First time to this group. Hi and hope I can e-mail to and for support.
Today is my first day. I am trying to get this weight off once and for all. I am hoping for some good menu's and good foods to help get the weight off. Is there someone out there who might be able to help. I would be appreciative. Thanks. Starvation Gulch.

Starvation Gulch ... you kinda slipped in the end of a thread there. Welcome.
Let me see .... have you read much in the foods forum? or the whole foods threads? I'm off to work here soon but I want you to think on vegetables and lean proteins. I'll check back after work and see if you all are finding your way around. |
Hi moonshadow Phat2long and Starvation Gulch!
:wel3fc: There are many of us who struggle with portion control! Believe me, you are NOT alone on that one! I'm a fan of Fitday. It's a site that is free where you put in all your foods and it keeps tarck of the calories and carbs and fat etc. FOR you. You also can put in your exercise that you do and keep a running journal. It helped me trim off nine very stubborn pounds within the last month. Here's the site: www.fitday.com Walking is the exercise that I started when I began my weight loss journey. I walked just 1/2 hour at first. I kept at it, increasing my time walking then increasing my speed. Seven years later I am able to walk ten MILES at a time! I'm 55 years old, so I'm pretty proud of being able to do that. I'm proof that you can avoid exercise for your whole life and then start off slowly and walk and change your life. It's true! Cheryl |
